| Guide Dogs: | Guide dogs are allowed into Box A: 1 step into Box A lobby (with own toilet) through double doors down the right hand side of the theatre, then 3 steps down into Box A. Alternatively, staff are happy to dog-sit. |
| Infra Red: | Infra Red system with headsets. Also a portable loop system for use with hearing-aids at the Box Office. |
| Wheelchair Access: | No spaces for wheelchair users who have to stay in their chairs. The person in a wheelchair must be able to negotiate a few stairs as there is no access into the theatre for wheelchairs. Box A has a side entrance from Crown Court with one step down into the anteroom, and three shallow steps with a rail into the box, also a toilet in the ante room. Through the side EXIT door on Crown Court, there are 5 steps to the main Dress Circle. |

| Steps: | No steps into foyer from street through double doors. Box Office counter to right. Dress Circle up 7 steps. 1 step between rows in auditorium. Row G has the most leg room. 21 steps down to Stalls, more than 40 to Upper Circle. Most staircases have handrails on both sides. |

The Fortune Theatre was designed by architect Ernest Schaufelberg and first opened to the public in November 1924. The Art Deco theatre was built on the site of the old Albion Tavern and was the first London theatre to be built after World War I.
The venue is most closely associated with it's current production, The Woman In Black, which first took up residence at The Fortune in 1989 and has since become a West End legend.
For many years The Fortune Theatre was privately owned, but in December 2001 it became part of the hugely successful Ambassador Theatre Group.
