Critically acclaimed for his directorial clarity and intelligence, David McVicar returns to the London Coliseum with his celebrated staging of Handel's operatic masterpiece, Agrippina. The new production, described as 'Handel to perfection' by Opera magazine, reunites McVicar with the world-leading Handelian mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, in their first ENO collaboration since La clemenza di Tito. Joining Connolly are the talented British singers Christine Rice and Rebecca Evans, as well as the US counter-tenor Lawrence Zazzo, who has sung Otho in Brussels and Paris. John MacFarlane's designs and conducting by Daniel Reuss complete another Handelian showcase at ENO.
