Synopsis:
Legally Blonde The Musical is the story of college sweetheart and
homecoming queen Elle Woods, who doesn't take no for an answer. When her
boyfriend dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits
the books and heads for Harvard Law! Along the way, Elle proves that being true
to yourself never goes out of style.
Legally Blonde the Musical is the Broadway sensation based on the hit movie, with Reese Witherspoon. Tony award-winning director and Olivier nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray) leads a top-of-their-class creative team.
Based on the Reese Witherspoon film, Legally Blonde The Musical earned seven Tony nominations and ten Drama Desk Award nominations during its Broadway run.
In London Sheridan Smith leads the cast of Legally Blonde The Musical, playing Elle Woods. Best known for her roles in TV comedies including Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps, Grown Ups and The Royle Family, she is no stranger to musical theatre. In 1997 she made her West End debut in the cast of Bugsy Malone, while in 2008 she received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for her performance in Little Shop Of Horrors.
Smith is joined in the cast of Legally Blonde The Musical by former member of boy band Blue, Duncan James, whose previous London stage appearances include playing Billy Flynn in Chicago.
The London production of Legally Blonde The Musical is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, who also performed this dual role for the Broadway production.
Legally Blonde the Musical will take you from the sorority house to the Halls of Justice with London's brightest new heroine (and of course, her Chihuahua, Bruiser).
The verdict? This much fun shouldn't be legal!
