[27 September] Robert Altman's British premiere production of Arthur Millers's play Resurrection Blues opens at The Old Vic Theatre on 22 February 2006, following previews from 14 February - tickets are now on sale through Key2Theatre.
Resurrection Blues is set in an unnamed Latin American country, where a young, messiah-like revolutionary is captured by the presiding military dictator. General Felix Barriaux seizes the opportunity to improve the country's finances by having the revolutionary executed and selling the television rights. He arranges a spectacular crucifixion, "once its televised there'll be tour buses bumper to bumper across the Andes" he says.
